Established in1822, John Holdsworth & Co. Limited has almost 200 years experience in the manufacture of high quality wool moquette and other fabrics for the Transport Industry, enabling us to lead the way in the design and manufacture of seating fabrics for Bus, Coach, Rail and Ferry.

In August 2005,following six generations of the Holdsworth family, the company merged with Hanson St James, a strong and diverse private group, with expertise in textile and property development.

With these combined strengths supported by additional investment, John Holdsworth are now primed for expansion to meet the challenges of the global transport industry in the 21st Century.

John Holdsworth is truly an international supplier, selling to over 40 countries , from 4 distribution centres (UK, USA, Germany, Australia) in 3 continents.

Our Headquarters, Design and Manufacturing facilities continue to be based in Halifax, England in a 300,000 sq ft. site employing 180 dedicated and experienced staff.

Our creative in house design team are specialists in creating bespoke designs for the world’s leading transport operators and vehicle builders.
